But UK is in Europe.. Why else would it be part of the European Union then?
COUNTER-BOOMGeographically the UK is in Europe and it is also part of the European Union, What more would you want it to have to consider it a part of Europe? Use Euros?

Then you have Scotland to the north and Whales to the west. The Welsh aren't English. Have you ever spoken to someone from Whales? If you think you can decipher Northern English then the Welsh are even thicker in accent.
North of Edinburgh, Scotland? Totally different than the bordering England/ish area.
Ireland? You have the southwest that still speak fucking Gaelic and then you have areas as close as Killarney in County Kerry, literally a few miles a way where you'd barely hear any at all. Then you have fucking Northern Ireland, a completely different beast and actually part of the EU.
The UK is nothing like the States.
Also, I did not mean to infer that "accent" or "language" divides areas. They are totally different areas, identities and mind sets.

That is not really the same thing, the united states isn't a continent like Europe is. It would be like saying Canada is a part of North America, because it is.I dunno man its too much of a broad statement, that's like saying Canada is part of the US just because its in North America.

But I can see where Main is coming from. For example, if you met someone who was French (France kind, not Canadian) they'll say they're French not European, even though both is true. Saying you're British makes you relate to the Welsh/Scottish/Irish, and a LOT of English don't like doing that. So we call ourselves English as opposed to British to stay true to our country.
