Ok so i know processors have different cores and sh*t. So which core is the best for amd processors? There are different kinds. I can't remember all of them. For example is a newcastle better than a venice etc. Anyways i just want to know which one is the best.

I am assuming that you are talking about an amd64 cuz there is a ton of cores for different cpus. Different cores are usually pretty close in performance. However, some are easier to overclock/unlock or use a little bit less power (less heat). Some of the 64s have more cache. Id look for one of these....... BTW socket 939 64s are the way to go....

Ya I've heard San Diego is the best too.....personally I have a Clawhammer, but I'll be going to a San Diego soon.

Ok wow! After looking at benchmark results on tomshardware.com i have definately decided that i will be going with an amd for my next processor (probably a little before or at christmas time.) The 3800 and 4000 completely owned the higher pentium 4 processors. Omfg! I can't wait. Anyways i still need to know the best core. Maybe Shadow or some that has used amd's for a while can help me.

As far as overclocking Venice, and San Diegos are the desired names. In the X2 area, Toledos seem to be the most favorable.
