every time i start up my resolution resets back to 800x600 anyone know how i can fix this?

you mean start up your computer or a game? bc you can control it with either a task tool that your vid card provides or right click properties. but if its reseting, your monitor may not support a res greater than that. if you can change it back and its reseting, theres a start up entry that has it saved to that. see if you have a theme or something that starts with windows saved.

my res on puter stays the same only when i start up my game it resets back to 800x600

which game? cs:s? because if you messed around with the start up properities in steam, it does that.. just clear whatever you have in there... or if its some other game... then i have no idea...

yeah for css:s i doubt i messed with anything in the start up,, how do i get into that, so i can check ?? lol

go into the steam play games menu... right click on cs:s... and then properties and set launch options.. if there is anyhting in it, delete it..

wierd, when ur game starts, it automatically sets the computer res to the game res (which im assuming is 800x600). but when you switch out it supposed2 change back to normal, even if you minize gm. hav u tried minimizing (alt+tab) or is it jus when u close it?

my comp res is set to 1152x864 same settings that i set my game to, but everytime i start up cs:s its goes back to 800x600 then i gotta reset it while in game

i have the same problem, only my comp always resets to 1024x768.

just started since i put a new vid card in.. i updated the drivers still happens,, reinstalled older versions of drivers and still happens,, i have no clue why
