some kid posted this in another forum, i dont know if its true. i would have thought ati was better. does anyone know if these stats are ligit?

Sorry to say, but the newest 7800 GTX is the best card out there. It beats the fastest ATI (x1800 XT) by some margins in the majority of tests.



The 512 MB 7800 GTX has blazing fast ram, and 512 mb of it. That accounts for alot of it's winnings. ATI dropped the ball on this one. Their 512 MB X1800 XT was faster than the 256 MB 7800 GTX, but not this new one.


I had to search forever to find even 1 test where ATI won this competition, and it was some f*cking obscure place. The tests are definitely in Nvidia's court now.

im runin the a 7800 in my comp and its the sh*t. the lowest frames i get in css are 150!!! and in the "video stress test"in css i get 188fps nvidia rocks!

I prefer NVIDIA, because I have experience with it since I have one and it served me well. I am happy that NVIDIA had better test results than the ATI, but when I buy my new GFX card, it won't matter which brand it is at long as the card is good! (I don't like being too much of a fanboy for things, because it pisses people off.)
