why is my ping so god damn sh*tty!!!?!?!?!?!?!?! i have a linksis router and a dsl connection...anyone know what my problem could be?

Yeah i had the same problem a few months ago. Try disconnecting your router and directly connecting your dsl connection to your computer. If the same thing happens, then its a problem with the internet connection. But if it works fine then its the router. One question, can you surf the internet at a fast speed?

we have a linksis router too and the thing is a piece of sh*t to no end between it going in and out and other people jacking our wirless signal i hate it so i dont know what to tell you

yea i surf the internet as fast as i always have...my ping is usually about 50ish but now i keep getting kicked off :(

It happens. For what reason, I don't know. You will probably also notice that sites that try to get you date online will have a different city posted than the one you are in. It's almost like ISP are re-routing your connection to another city which slows you down. Whatever.....It will take a week to resolve. Happens to me once every 3 months.

Yea don't worry about it unless the problem sticks for more than a week or so, then call your ISP.

yeah what isp do you have? bellsouth? because for like the past month its been messing up for me too.. just cutting off at random times..and only for like a minute or less.. its so annoying..

Same here.. 'cept I have f*cking Sprint DSL :kill: so it has always been like that for me, as opposed to just this past month.
