ok so here is the deal... i need to know if there is a problem with a wireless mouse/keyboard combo. does wireless mean the response will be slowed down? the mx 3100 is just wireless, while the mx 5000 is also wireless but bluetooth based, which i fear may have responsiveness problems. if you guys have either of these or know of them..... ADVISE AWAY... i look forward to your knowledge provisions...
um yeah, if it were a gaming decision id stick to good ol ball mouses....
i play better with my old school mouse than with my friends laser mouse....its too sensitive, i like to move the mouse HARD

My wireless keyboard works like a dream though. I've had 1 or 2 problems, but they were minor and were easily fixed by letting it refind the connection. But I've picked up one of the newer logitech laser g5 mouse, and this thing smokes out every mouse I've ever used. Though, it did cost me about $75, it was worth it completely so far. The G5 even has a sensitivity adjuster right below the scroll wheel for on the fly adjustments. Really nice in CS, if I find myself in a close quarters situation I notch up the sensitivity to give me a little more speed, and slow it down if I'm sniping or in long range combat. Plus the adjustible weight is nice, since I like a heavy mouse to allow me to make small movements easier without over adjusting.

As a side note; I remember the first generation of those things, if you had two comps with wireless 'mice' they would control eachother half the time got some laughs out that at some ancient LAN event.
