Ok now that i have your attention

I have a cable box (mediacom) and i get "on demand" movies. So can i use a DVD recorder to record these b*tches? or do they have some gay thing to prevent this? i would appreciate some of you who have experience with this to hit me up with some knowledge on this subject. and for the rest of you who will b*tch if i don't at least show you a pic of jessica simpson here

Billy,
you shouldnt have a problem usign a dvd recorder off a cable box. as stupid as its sounds, it sometimes depends on what kind of wiring you use. the only thing that prevents recording copywritten materials are either DVI or HDMI cables which use HDCP, a form of copywrite protection in broadcasting, which will be a problem for pirates in the near future. another thing u cant copy is DVD b/c they are obviously encoded that way in Macrovision. That is of course unless you have this badass little gadget called GODVD by the company Sima...that has the ability of bypassing the macrovision copywrites( Strictly for Backing up your movies of course )
hopefully this helps with your situ, and maybe provides a little help on anything else you MIGHT want to do later...all legally of course, lol.
