Ok well I have a copy of Doom 3. And I was telling my friend about it and his older asshole brother says" No you won't be able to play it without an Intel Pentium 4. Your computer isn't fast enough" Well the next day I install it and it is f'ing awesome. I tell my friend over the phone and his older brother says" Well it is gonna freeze at one point like my game did" I have an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ and Doom 3 kicks ass on it. Now I have beaten Doom 3 and his brother says Oh well he must be lying. I dont know if I can believe him. What a f*cking jealous asshole!
He is jealous because he has a sh*tty HP from rent-a-center. This guy thinks he knows everything about computers. Do people like this piss you off?

wow great story man. he prob ment you need an intel pent 4 over an intel pent 3. theres dozens of different kinds of intel pentium 4's and even more types of anthlons. i have an intel pentium 4 3.06 northwood for example. thats one of the highest clock speeds for intel, however it is only equivelent to an amd anthlon 2700. your 3200 is pretty good, in fact i think a lot of people here have it sine it was pretty popular last year.

i do think he doesnt know what he is talking about, and its funny to meet these people. they make for some interesting dinner time conversation. even more so when you make up a computer term like "rear side bus" or "CPU clock speed toggle switch". just watch the expression on his face when he makes up a number or some answer that doesnt even exist. better bring popcorn.

Heh, yeah, that's funny. I hate egotistical assholes. Some kid I know, named Dain, (yes, that is his real name) said to me a few weeks ago: "Hey, Chris! My gaming machine is going to kick your ass. I got a 4.2Ghz Pentium 4, 4GBs of RAM, a GeForce 6900, and a two terrabyte hard drive for $1050!"

People like that...you don't need to play along...they don't know anything in the first place.

my socet a amd 1700+ old computer played it fine with a neavida msi fx 5200 with 512 ram so i think a p4 would play it fine
