I have to disagree with the notion that there are only a few hackers in CSS. Hacks are readily available and really simply to install and use. I recently got all of the hacks I could find and was able to make most of them work as advertised.

Speedhacking is a huge advantage. Don't mislead ppl by saying that it makes you fly around the map at supersonic speeds. Even a slight increase in speed can get you to a spot opponents don't expect. On top of that all the speedhacks increase the rate of fire of your weapon. What I'm saying is that even a tiny increase in speed (barely noticable to those specing) can make for a huge advantage in the game.

Aimbots are pretty easy to spot. Guys shooting randomly at things or at dead bodies is a nice cue. The thing with aimbots is that they don't aim as fast or as well as a skilled player. If someone is using an aimbot you probably can figure it out with a short spec.

Radar Hacks / Wall hacks are the real danger here, and I know lots of players who use them routinely. The thing about a wall hack is that you can spec someone for hours, and not know they are wallhacking. The fact that they can see through the walls doesn't mean they have to aim through them. With wallhacks you can look straight ahead and see ppl through the corner of your eye. The radar hacks are even worse in that they give up the location of your opponents as opposed to your team mates in radar. Try and catch someone doing that.

Just because ppl are bithicng at you about hacking when you aren't does not mean that hacks are not prevalent. Not only are they common, many are really hard if not impossible to spot.

yup wall and radar hacks are the hardest to catch. anyay if it is not an admin who saying you hack, you don't need to worry about it. just ignore.

Never in my 20 years of playing games have I encountered more crybabies than I have in CS:S. Someone shoots another in the head from anything more than 10 feet away and it's "oh bs." Someone finds themself with 10 or more kills than deaths, and suddenly people start screaming hacks. What the Hell? It's like nobody is allowed to actually be good in this God damn game, and if they are they get nothing but accused for it. And yes I'm going on about this because 4 times now in the last two days some wise-ass has made a comment about me "hacking", and it's getting really old. It's not just me though! There are a few people I can think of that I play with reguarly these days that I'm constantly hearing are "hacking" as well.

Did it ever cross the minds of all these little babies that just maybe, somewhere out there, there is someone that is just plain better than they are? Heaven forbid someone show a little bit of skill out there, eh? If you get pwned just stfu and learn to play better, rather than going off whining about it.

No, I'm not trying to be some sort of elitest here. I'm not trying to sound high and mighty. It just absolutely baffles me how much people in this game cry every time someone spanks them.

There are very few true hackers in CS:S..

I hate when I get called into a server to ban someone that turns out to be an active member of BoSS because the accuser is mad that he is stealing his kills *cough* candy *cough*

ya hack has become to popular of a word... if the noob dies, even if it isnt a headshot, he accuses you of hacking.. i've learned just to ignore it unless it is a admin who is accusing me. If it is i will prove that i'm not hacking by just running up to them in the middle of a game and have a hand on hand battle haha so ya just ignore it unless its an admin... and like everyone else said, take it as a compliment :)

I'm not exaggerating, dude was literally there one second gone the next, doing some wicked Flash Gordan sh*t on all of us. I saw him run down long hall in like... A quarter of a second. :P

And yeah I know most people don't really mean it, Hell I constantly yell a joking little "hax!" at people. The ones I'm refering to were quite serious though, and pretty rude about it to boot. Nigs.

hehe, I agree that aimbots are pretty easy to spot. Erratic movements, charachter moving like a drunkard, still getting 1 bullet hs from across the map.
For instance, this guy on server 3 was using an mp5 and kept hitting me in the head with the first shot, and then missing all the rest, didn't matter what distance, first one was always in the head at full spray. when he whipped out an m4 and actually started killing, i threw the perma on him.

Xiertic you must be new to online gaming or this is the first game you've been "good" at..

Its always the guy with like 4 and 12 accusing people of hacking I find.. hilarious, couldn't shoot their way out of a paper bag but they think they have a 3rd eye or something.

Yeah basically, it's a part of online gaming you are going to have to deal with. Everyone who has had a 2.0 kdr or higher has prolly been accused of hacking or whatnot but yeah, just brush it off but if you get pissed everytime someone calls you a hacker then you should probably type slay in the console . Basically, who cares? Just play the game and let the admins take care of the real hackers.
