so i got a comp prob

everytime i boot up <since lunch> i get weird lines and all on my screen then when it loads i have shadow boxes around the curser and folders

no clue here ...but thinking drivers for Bios maybe?

Drivers for bios hahaha thats one of the funniest thing i've ever heard.Dont touch it let someone help you before you hurt it!! Check fan's , dust in video card?Check make sure video card is in the slot not lose.Check the rest of the wires??Could be allot of things but there's no drivers for your bios.

i have checked EVERYTHING ...nothing is lose ...

i redid the bios from the intel site

i cant freaking figure this out ..and i ahve built comps for awhile now ...this is one of the weirdest things i have EVER seen

:1: what new video card do you want? If the one you have is still under warranty I would suggest looking into that, as what you describe sounds a lot like a blown up vid card.

Bummer. I remember derek had a problem about something with his computer, and he took out is 9800 and blew on it or something, put it back in, and his problem was solved lol. Idk wut could be causing that tho, virus perhaps?

i just changed cards...it damn well better NOT be blown already ..or im going to be pissed

and i bought it off Ebay so yea im screwed if it is


and i have tried that to Sniper .. no luck

ok did you try reseating it? It really does sound like something with the hardware as opposed to drivers. Drivers cause crashes, but rarely do the kind of stuff you are taling about.

took it out ...blew it off...re seated it in MB ...samething


this is the second one in like a month ...im starting to think the AGP slot is screwed

Yeah it helps to have access to an extra agp card to try it and check the results.
