Should We concider moving our Game Servers to Texas?
The Box Stats are
Dual Opteron 256
2 GB Ram
100 MB Connectivety
Total Price: 270 / Month.

yeah ping will be a little higher... but from me its still not THAT far.. so why not... my ping will be like 40 or 30 instead of 17...that is a lot farther from me than va.... will that make a diff?

But one thing. Where are the servers now? If they're on the East coast it's not much of a difference for Cleric and I in Chicago if it moves to Texas.

but then again they are your servers and you can put them anywhere you want (that didn't sound right but oh well)
I will play on them no matter where they are.
can you take one server and put it in texas and see how the ping is for everyone and if its ok move the rest or just move it back? my $.02

Texas is five states away. Higher ping.
But being I have a 5mbit cable connection I really don't give a f*ck.

If it saves money, I see no problem now. I have a 60 ping as is.
But one thing. Where are the servers now? If they're on the East coast it's not much of a difference for Cleric and I in Chicago if it moves to Texas.
Yeah equa-distant from me too so whatever everyone wants is fine because it wont really effect me. But I voted yes just to be part of the poll if it saves money.

ping really has nothign to do with lag...its just how far away from the server you are....and if its a better box and somewhat cheaper....do that sh*t yo

3 servers for 270 at this new place, as opposed to what are they now in VA?
