Are the BoSS servers up and running? I added them into my favorites on Steam yesterday, but they showed up as <Not Responding> and are still that way now. Are the servers down, or is it just me having the problems?

Hello?. Anybody out there? :19: This shouldn't be too hard to answer, every BoSS member plays CS: Source.

server 1 is at 31/32 people right now, so it's you or some proxy between you and the servers. sh*t happens. :D

Okay then, here is my next question. Did someone ban me from the servers? :wtf: The only thing I could think of is that I played on the server one or two twice before before I was a member. Maybe I complained about a kill someone got on me or something. Usually I am a very mature, well-mannered player, but maybe I did something to piss off an admin I don't remember. Could someone look into this? I can play every other game I own online no problems, including CS:S. It's just those servers that appear as <not responding> and I have played there before.

hey, Guys cut the bullsh*t posts out he was just asking why he couldn't see the servers.

ShadowGamer21, goto Start -> Run -> type in "cmd", hit ok, a Command Prompt Box is gonna load, type in ping "66.36.255.79" and see if it respond's.

Copy and Paste those results here.

Also go into CS:S and go into console and type "status" without quotation marks, your steam ID will show, copy&paste it in your next post and I'll see if you were banned or not, you were probably just having lag though.

Okay, this isn't good. I tried to play CS:S to do what Frag asked, but everytime I try to connect to a server it says, "Client disconnected by server." What is this?

Now it says "Error verifying Steam User ID" or something like that. I'll restart it again, but I don't know what the problem is. Is there a way for me to remove, and then reinstall Steam?

that happened to me just randomly too like twice.. and i couldn't connect to that server for like an hour because it would keep saying that.. just wait around for like an hour and it should start working again... or maybe only like 30 minutes... dont rememeber....

I restarted it again, and now it's saying, "Client disconnected by server," again. I have restarted it three times now and still get that error.

EDIT: And once again, it's back to "Error verifying Steam User ID." So I will take Nova's advice and wait about an hour and try it again.

maybe someone hacked your steam username and its not letting you use your account. or maybe its an internet error. or maybe a corrupt file, or a reading error, or a resent update problem.

either way, if nothing we have done is working, then you will need to uninstall and reinstall steam, id recommend just uninstalling css first and installing that bc that game alone takes 10 min, so do that before reinstalling everything. but thats all we can do for ya.

just uninstall steam...
and dont reinstall

:whatever:

If you don't have anything helpful to add, just don't say anything. I am asking a serious question, because I need an answer, and I am not as knowledgeable about computers as some of you guys. If you are going to do nothing but rip on me or give me stupid answers, just leave, please.

EDIT: Thanks Derek, I will do that now. I uninstalled and reinstalled CS last night and that didn't fix the problem, so I will uninstall and reinstall Steam.

Do this, Logout of steam through settings menu, Relogin, and you should be fixed.

Edit: oh and if that Fails, close steam, goto your Install folder and Delete ClientRegistry.blob

I ended up doing more work than was necessary, because I didn't check back here until after I started, but I uninstalled HL2, CCS, and Steam, then reinstalled them all. Right now it is finishing downloading CSS updates and is decrypting HL2. Hopefully this works, I really just want to be able to play on the BoSS servers with you guys. Hell, I jsut want to be able to play CSS again, period.

How do I access the console in CS:S? I thought it was ~ but thats not working. Also, I can finally play CS:S again, I just can't get onto the BoSS servers, which is why I am asking.
