You know how I made a topic earlier this week about how I finally found the right video card? A Nvidia GeForce 6600 OC 128MB 4x AGP card made by BFG Technologies. Well, it came in the mail today, but it was the wrong fu*king card! They sent us a regular GeForce 6600. When I called last week to ask if they had it, I asked 3, yes 3 seperate times if the card was a 6600 OC made by BFG, since BFG is the only company I know of that OC's their cards and still retains the warranty on them, plus I don't know how to overclock myself. Anyways, all 3 times I asked the reply I got was, "Yes."

This biatch flat out lied to a customer over the phone. And even if she wasn't real computer saavy, I asked her individual questions about the card and told her where to find the answers, like 4x/8x AGP, S-VGA or VGA, and yes, even the company BFG and the card name GeForce 6600 OC. I held her hand through the entire ordering process and she still f*cked up the order. Today I looked on their site and found the exact one she had ordered.

She didn't call the Walmart HQ and have one ordered for us, she went on the fu*king website and ordered the "closest match" to what I had described. I don't know if it was cause she's a Walmart worker who doesn't know sh*t about computers, or if she was just a dumbass in general, but it just pisses me off that people can be ignorant like that.

Now I gotta call the 1-800 number and get all this BS straightened out. In short, people need to learn to do their jobs. /endrant

Summary:
Stupid Walmart worker didn't do her job and it screwed me over. I added this little note and broke up the text just for Billy.

Yeah, sure is. The thing is, though, I don't have a Bestbuy, CompUSA, DIT Corp, anything near where I live, Walmart was the only option I had.

Well, it's all under control now. Found the perfect card on ATi.com. And I looked up and down on the internet for a card that fit the specs and price range I need, including Newegg and Tiger Direct. And if I had it my way, Newegg is where I would have ordered it from, but, my dad is a little worried about the product being DOA.

I realize there are guarantees and warranties on these things, but his reasoning was to try to order it from somewhere that has a shop in town, so that if the card is DOA or whatever, we can take it back no problems, rather than mail it back, wait two weeks, and get another one back that may also not work.

He is also a little sketchy about sites that aren't big name companies, like Bestbuy, CompUSA, DIT Corp, Circuit City, etc..., even though I told him Newegg and Tiger Direct are both very reputable sites.

Anyways, it's under control, the video card will be here between Tuesday and Thursday, so this topic can die for all I care.
