Was so excited to play wiht my new CPU (3800X2) and vid card (1900xtx) on a new motherboard (A8N-SLI Deluxe), and windows gayed out on me. Ok, just had to reinstall.... Then the reinstall trashed my partition table. Linux couldn't recover... formatting... I'll see you guys later. I don't have the patience to wait up for windwos to delete all my files..

Just got up and will head over for the windows install. Will post 3dmark after I get some gaming in. It's been too long since I've had a CS fix. :D Let's just say I was playing some TFC last week on my laptop...

so it looks like by "windows trashed my HD" I really meant "oh yeah, I had a western digital in that machine"
HD is dead, it's barely running on a 20 gig seagate from who knows when and has no real internet connection yet (on a dying 10baseT hub right now)... It may be a while yet before I'm gaming..
