Which totally disproves shlonky's theory of Coax going at 10 Mbit Max.

Now 15 down and 1 up is some serious sh*t.
Got to check your .bin file Shadow and hookmyself up.
What I meant by the speed of around 10 mBit is upload....... Down and we can max out the modem at around 43 mBit I imagine.

I thought this topic was going to be about how to speed your connection up by tweaking. And it reminded me of a little easy trick I'm sure alot of you know already, namely turning off QoS.
run "gpedit.msc", open computer config, open admin templates then network. Open QoS Packet Scheduler, right click "limit reservable bandwidth" and choose properties. enable it and set the value to 0.
You've then technically sped up your connection by 20%, default is that XP hogs that 20% for basically no reason.

or just uncheck QoS on ur nic card Settings via network control panel.
Uncheck: "Shadow's Fast Connection"
Check: "Slow as f*ck" AND "Maximum Packet Loss"

And if anyone has strategies for speeding up your connection on Roadrunner Cable besides QoS, lmk.
EDIT: I found out how to uncheck QoS, nvm....
If you have any other tips though, post em.
