This is probably somewhat old news, but ATI just launched its x1950xtx and its pretty nuts. LINK
Nothing too special a bout it as its just a tad bit faster than the 1900xtx, but notice the memory is a blazing 1000mhz GDDR4. I want that in my desktop.
Faster is better but in real world gaming the 1950xtx isnt really all that much faster then my crappy ole x1800xt. I know I won't be upgrading anytime soon anyways.
However, with all this new sh*t out there the prices have gone WAAAAYYY down for some sick sh*t. x1800xts can be found for a bit less than $200 now adays which is a steal compared to the performance you get.
What do you guys think??
^^ Something about that just isnt right.

Yeah its only 500 Mhz Faster memory Speed, but it has like nearly twice the Bandwidth p/s compaired to my 1900 XTX, reguardless, I'm not upgrading til the r600's are fully into swing.

Yeah if you look at the benchmarks, the performance does not increase significantly. You can get an x1900xtx or x1900xt with almost the similar performance for a lower price.

That's pretty sexy. But as you said, it's really not worth it for a gaming rig. Hell my Radeon 9800 pro still runs most games without lag on pretty good performance.
So I'm not itching for an upgrade (nor could I afford one )
