1.slow roasted turkey with mashed taters, gravy, home made rolls, corn, and alittle ham.
2. homemade over the grill bacon double cheeseburger with none of that "healthy"sh*t, a side of greasy homemade deepfried cheeze fries, and a 6 pack of killians irish red

1. Large Filet medium rare. Loaded baked potato. Ceasar salad.(or from ruths chris steakhouse the shoestring fries)
and
2. Maine lobster(regular or cajun style) with drawn butter, hash browns.
There is a really expensive resteraunt downtown called the oceanaire where you can have you lobster "angry" which is seasoned like cajun, but still has the regular lobster taste.

And I must say a good hearty turkey dinner really hits the spot when fall is turning to winter at thanksgiving. Don't really think I'd enjoy it too much any other time though.
It's like the Swedish equivalent, eaten on Christmas eve. It's basically a 3 course buffet with cured salmon, pickled herring, smoked eel, turkey, roast beef, christmas ham, liver pate, meatballs, meat-stuffed cabbage, small sausages and pork ribs. If you are still breathing after that meal you have to take seconds!

when i was in Russia the family i was staying with brought out some specialty for breakfast. It had clear gelatin on the bottom, with some cow liver pate crap on top. And it would be topped with spicy mustard. horrible
very strange indeed.
anyway enough of my off topic post.
dave
PS: Its strange, i graduated, got my BS and i find myself really loving cooking. Last week was jumbalia (chariso sausage, shrimp, chicken) salmon with pinapple and jalapinos, and some classic chicken marsala the week before.

And a large glass of either Coke or Whole milk to drink.
Dessert=A big bar a Hershey's Dark Chocolate
Being able to eat all that everyday and not gain any weight? Metabolism ftw!

Fav Dishes from Twin Cities Top Eats Joints (in my book): Mongolian Beef from that place in Dinkytown, tacos from that Boca Chica place down in St. Paul, spaghetti w/meat sauce from Totino's, grilled cheese and fries from the Convention Grill up by 50th and France, or pizza from the Papa John's chain/possibly also Totino's. If you come to the Twin Cities, seek out at least one of these restaurants or you'll miss some of the best food we have to offer.
However, for a typical yet ownage meal;
Main Dish: Chicken with lemon gravy (my mom makes this stellar lemon-flavored gravy that goes incredibly well with chicken) OR home-grilled hamburger on a toasted bun with ketchup
Side Dish 1: Broccoli with melted butter (that's right b*tches bring on the veggies

Side dish 2: Fruit, fruit, FRUIT! Pineapple chunks/rings OR a sliced apple (Minnesota is a king apple state- I love the Haralsons the best) OR grapes/cantaloupe.
Don't forget the bread, niggs! No dinner is complete without excellent, lightly darkened bread!
And for dessert: Chocolate ice cream OR Cookies. C is for Cookie, b*tches, that's good enough for me! To hell with the lettuce, just gimme a cookie!
Damn. Now I'm hungry.
