Never mind, they are back up again. I think one of valve's server indexes must have went down or something, because 50 percent of my favorites were offline.

There was a network problem, sems like they were down for 25 minutes or so. Shouldnt happen again. 
Not sure if it was just us or on a bigger scale but our host did email me stating there was problem and shortly afterwards with a resolution.
