Ok, yes. Another question on computers.
Well i downloaded this file that came in parts.
Well at the bottom of all these files is a .sfv
I do have a screenshot of it, if i must post it. But the names are blacked out.
So whats a sfv and how to i make the files a whole again?
Thanks agian :perk:

most likley they are win rar files. Its one big file, such an an iso or movie file, but split up into parts. open up the first one, and extract it to where you want. winrar will find the other files automaticly and put them back together. I have no idea what a .sfv file does.

no, it will do it for you. make sure they are all in the same folder, click on the first file(most likley has an extension of .r00 .001 or something similar), and extract it to wherever you want. this is assuming you have winrar installed.

SFV

SFV is from "Simple File Verification" and is simply a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check sum) for each file in the set. In simple terms an SFV is a text file that is used by specific programs to verify that what you downloaded is precisely the same as what was uploaded. It will tell you if any of the files in the archive set are missing or corrupt. It is very fast. See here for <more_info> The files are small, and quickly made and posted, using the appropriate client.

Googled it.

So you really don't need it to run whatever you downloaded it just ensures what you downloaded is all intact.
