j/k older country music as actually pretty ok, stuff like Johhny Cash.
New country music has about the same musicianship involved as rap. If that's the shit you listened to, maybe you really should take a shower

country music is awsome
end of thread...
Roger that.
Like ALL MUSIC a lot of the newer stuff is shit, but every once in awhile you get a good new artist.
The "OLD STUFF" in any music genre is ALWAYS better because no one remembers any of the shitty bands/groups at the time. People only remember the kickass artists. At this point in time there are a MILLION SHITTY artists. You wont remember any of these shitty artists 5 years from now because they will be gone.
Country FTW. You City Folk will never understand.......
BTW you like "pop-country" which isnt that much different than any other "pop" music. Catchy tunes will always fall under that category. I'm talking about old school "shit-kickin-hick" type stuff and bluegrass.

Good point.
And Gates, it is not a deadly sin for a metalhead to enjoy the occasional country song, so don't worry about it Especially since the genres are quite closely related (the high quality country that is).

.
if you can fight your way through some of the gay ass pop country and hokie sh*t, country is a really good genre to listen too. well at least i think so because i feel like i relate to alot of it.
i like rap but i don't relate to busting caps and slinging dope. nor do i hate my parents or feel like im alone in the world.
if you want a good country song that is some what humerous and pokes fun at country in general listen too "david allen coe" the greatest country music song ever written.
ot its called something like that,

All music go hand in hand somehow.
ive noticed that People who listen to rap for some reason also listen to country.
ppl who listen to rock..also listen to country.
I thought this as some sort of phenomenon since I live in southern NY, but this theory works all the time with the yuonger crowd.
At first I couldnt stand country music, but then my brothers started getting into it, so i heard it more, and my parents liked it.
Guess it just grew on me. Im still kinda picky with the whole thing tho. I only like certain things.
Dont feel bad pal!!!
