Oh and if you have sh*tty parts maybe it would use too much data, but with your new comp Chris, or anything more current than your old one, i don't think there would be a problem.

It has a DPI setting that allows you to change the DPI on the fly to 3 different settings - I never saw a point to this though. Once your hand gets used to the mouse speed and such, adjustments to your DPI can really f*ck up your gameplay.
The mouse is very lightweight, and has that hi-tech look to it. It comes with 2 rechargeable li-ion batteries that can be swapped out without having to restart anything or mess with any additional settings. One complaint I do have, is that the middle scroll click button is rather hard to press down (when compared to other Logitech mice).
The mouse costs about $75 here, so it might be out of most people's budget for a mouse, but it was well worth the money to me. Logitech has the best warranty service out of every company I have ever dealt with.

USB, ew.
ha ha. I love these threads where Chris tries to talk tech with the boys. lol
You think that all these USB mice are sh*tty? That USB --> PS/2 adapter doesn't increase the performance, kid. It just converts the signal to PS/2 so legacy computers can use the peripheral.

- People say the same thing about what some of us spend on our CPU and GPUs...You'd have to be crazy to spend close to 100 bucks on a mouse.

- Any reasons why? The Logitech MX1000 had some issues with interference, however, the G7 uses something different that makes it no longer a problem. I forget the technical detail about it, but one of the Logitech techs explained it over the phone for me.And I just don't want a wireless mouse, but that's just me.
