No, I'm serious. Mice intake so much data at a time because they aren't like keyboards where you press a key and it enters it straight in, mice are sensitive to every little movement. Too much data for USB to handle effectively. Now if that mice came with a USB->PS/2 adapter...

Chris, you do understand that if you have a mouse that uses USB primarily but has an adapter to go to PS/2 that it makes no difference, right? The mouse cable is USB and that's the max output you're gonna get. Changing the connector to PS/2 won't make a difference in what the cable can handle.

Damn, I shelled out almost $80 for a mouse exactly like that one, except mine's blue. It's a buttsecks mouse, but now I'm wishing I would have waited until a deal like this came along. Anyone who needs a gaming mouse, you better pick this one up before the deal ends. It's great, and it's only $35!

^^^^doubtful
Oh and if you have sh*tty parts maybe it would use too much data, but with your new comp Chris, or anything more current than your old one, i don't think there would be a problem.

This is the best mouse that I have ever owned: http://www.buy.com/r...p?sku=201935175

It has a DPI setting that allows you to change the DPI on the fly to 3 different settings - I never saw a point to this though. Once your hand gets used to the mouse speed and such, adjustments to your DPI can really f*ck up your gameplay.

The mouse is very lightweight, and has that hi-tech look to it. It comes with 2 rechargeable li-ion batteries that can be swapped out without having to restart anything or mess with any additional settings. One complaint I do have, is that the middle scroll click button is rather hard to press down (when compared to other Logitech mice).

The mouse costs about $75 here, so it might be out of most people's budget for a mouse, but it was well worth the money to me. Logitech has the best warranty service out of every company I have ever dealt with.

You'd have to be crazy to spend close to 100 bucks on a mouse.

USB, ew.

ha ha. I love these threads where Chris tries to talk tech with the boys. lol

You think that all these USB mice are sh*tty? That USB --> PS/2 adapter doesn't increase the performance, kid. It just converts the signal to PS/2 so legacy computers can use the peripheral.

Wow he actually said USB, ew. I don't normally say this but LOL. If your worried about your PC being bogged down because of your mouse then you need to upgrade your AMDK6 to something better man. The performance "decrease" would be so insignificant that unless you were the terminator you wouldn't notice a difference.

Well all of the parts are pretty high quality and I want it to last me several years before I have to upgrade again so why not spend the extra money for them. And I just don't want a wireless mouse, but that's just me.

- Any reasons why? The Logitech MX1000 had some issues with interference, however, the G7 uses something different that makes it no longer a problem. I forget the technical detail about it, but one of the Logitech techs explained it over the phone for me.
