The silencer definitively a plus when you are trying to be stealthy, and when you try to snipe
Btw Robot, it always looks as though the silencer is on, it has been that way since they added the function of taking the silencer off. So it wont help when trying to hide. Kind of irritating to walk around with the second longest weapon in the game (AWP is the longest i believe). The sound of an unsilenced M4 will scare the sh*t out of anyone at close range. And it's stopping power is matched only by snipers and the Deagle
Toomey, use the silencer for long range, the recoil makes your bullet go somewhere you don't want it to when un-silenced. But you are right about the spray, you can spray at amazing distances with the silencer on.

It does matter if you're facing multiple enemies. I love when you get behind like 3 ppl with the silencer on and pop 'em without them noticing you.
But when you're about to spurt around a corner into a mass of enemies it may be better to leave it off, might startle them a second and you get better damage and wider spread

Silencer is more accurate, no way around that. Spray and Pray with silencer is f*cking awesome. The gun does more damage without but at the cost of accuracy.

Mm... I usually use the silencer. Especially as a T rushing one way and coming up behind the CTs who went the other way - that's one of the best things ever XD

this is something ive always woundered. which way is more accurate? i like the silenced way but the unsilenced sound nicer more effective and meaningful to kill someone with a loud gun.
