nVidia and ATI need to get their act together and fix their GPUS... energy consumption is just getting stupid.

Yeah, at some point, the processing power of the card has to take a back seat to power consumption and heat generation. This is the whole reason Dual Cores were invented, even AMD chips were starting to use too much power and generating too much heat. Perhaps ATI, who is now owned by AMD, and nVidia need to look at this for their next generation.

I can tell you they will be power hogs. The Xenon in the xbox 360 is the R600 if im not mistaken.
There may be a few changes to the pc version but i think as far as power is conserned they are about
even. That sh*t pumps out some heat especially when its under heavy loads such as playing HD-DVD's.
I've seen what this card can do after playing though GOW many times. i will definatly be building my
new rig when this card is released. Anyone have any idea on the release date?
