Basically this is cheap enough to hold me over till I get a nice DX10 card when I do a full upgrade to Vista. Maybe later this year or early next.
If anyone is interested. My current settings give me about 74fps in the Video Stress Test. I'll verify that before I pull it apart and I'll post up the numbers after (stock and oc'd). Here's to hoping that goes up a significant amount.

I haven't even been home to install the new one yet, so I don't know how that will run.

I have an AMD 64 3500+ for a CPU. Ran the Video stresst twice for each, average of two. Same settings.
X800XL - stock
77 fps
X1950GT - stock
140fps
X1950GT - GPU 494mhz -> 625mhz, memory at stock
143.5fps
Either I'm cpu bound or it just doesn't make that much difference in CSS. I'll try another game at some point, but I'm sticking to stock speed for now. CSS is all I really get to play, but I am finally ready to try the new CNC3 demo.

hmm not bad i guess
Yeah well.. for the price of it, I didn't really expect much more. Just wanted to be able to run games at native resolution which my X800 wasn't doing so well. I finally got to try C&C3 briefly and its awesomely smooth.
As for this card being for a Mac.. I have no idea. Its an underclocked X1950 PRO.. which as been out for a while. Same Chip, even faster memory but there is some problem with the card that doesn't like memory overclocks and same Cooler on the side of it.
The cooler is pretty damn loud though. The reviewers weren't kidding about that.
