there used to be one place where I used to live in jersey who made the best f*ckin gyro's ever... god I miss them :(
can't help you with the gyro but you reminded me of something and can maybe back me up.
it used to piss me off when everyone used to say go to Philadelphia for their cheese steaks (clich�d, i know.) but places in jersey have had the best f*cking sandwiches i've ever f*cking had... and not just the cheese steaks. the pseudo-italians (the garlic bread sandwiches with the pepperoni, salami, sh*t load of peppers and marinara) and others were f*cking great up there.
