well remember back in the day ozzy wasn't exactly "mainstream", either music tastes change or bands sell out.

Behemoth is a pretty mainstream black/death metal band anyway..

I agree, you'll never see a band like Vital Remains or anything at ozzfest, ever.

pretty much...but i guess since the re-birth of Headbangers Ball all these bands have been getting lots of exposure...but where i live most of this music isnt too popular, oh but when Hot Topic hit the mall it became a trend....rant over.

Ozzfest is mainstream by death metal standards, not by metal standards (granted, there are a few, like Static X)... Compared to other "traveling tours" they definately not mainstream.
Nile doesn't surprise me at all, being an American death band and all. Behemoth does surprise a bit though, since they are a Polish band. Although they may be considered "blackened death metal", the affiliation with black metal stops there, and they are in all other respects quite similar to Nile.

Speaking of Ozzfest I do have my 2 free tickets so hells yea..probably gonna go to the show in CT in August..nothing like free shows.
