Are SATA 3.0GB/s hard drives backwards compatible with a a SATA150 connection on a mobo?

I decided to scrap the idea of a new PC for now, I just need more storage space (160 gb just doesn't cut it anymore).

Edit: NVM. Got the answer from Wikipedia. In case you're curious, the answer is that some of them are if the drive has a jumper setting for either 150 or 300.

Some of them have jumpers yes. I dont think i have a SATA 150 port anymore to test it out for you either :(
