Well, I figured it was upgrade time, order this on the weekend, just got it up and running today:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dual Core Processor Socket AM2 Windsor 3.0GHZ 2000FSB 2X1MB 90NM Retail Box
Abit FATAL1TY AN9 32X ATX AM2 NFORCE590 DDR2 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI SATA2 GBLAN Sound Motherboard
OCZ Reaper Hpc Edition PC2-6400 DDR2 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-15-1T Dual Channel Epp Memory Kit
Some pics:
I haven't gotten around to overclock it yet, but it will come.
*EDIT*
Do any of you notice how popular heat pipes are lately? my stock amd heatsink, ocz reaper ram, abit motherboard, and x1950 pro all have heatsinks.... I bet this thing costs a fortune to keep running all day lol
*EDIT 2*
I'll say this before I get flamed.... I DID NOT BUY THE MOBO BECAUSE IT SAYS FATAL1TY.
I read great reviews about this board, and found that the price was much cheaper than buying a comparable Asus (which I've used for my last 3 amd procs). I could give a f*ck about that fatality guy and in all other circumstances would have avoided a sponsored piece of hardware.

Probably figured I should have gone with a C2D...
Believe me, I was on the fence with that one. I'm not about to open up the AMD vs Intel argument on here, but on past builds it was a no brainer, amd all the way. This one was definitely a toss up....

Both the Athlon x2s and C2d are solid. I suppose you're going for a amd + ati rig?
