I was trying to figure out how to set up an alias or script thing so I could rebuy whatever I wanted without having to hit "rebuy" and then go get Kevlar...and I used an alias to do it. I made an alias "m4combo" and had it as "buy m4a1; buy vesthelm; buy primammo" and bound it to MOUSE3. Then, I made an alias "akcombo" and had that as "buy ak47; buy vesthelm; buy primammo" and also bound it to MOUSE3. The m4combo alias worked, so I was satisfied. I said "alias m4combo nothing" and "alias akcombo nothing" and assume that would clear them (since I didn't want them permanently). I then said "bind mouse3 nothing" which I think clears binds.
Anyway, I then tried to buy something from the buy menu the regular way, and nothing happened. I can't buy a single thing from the menu!
I decided I'd just buy something from the console, then:
] buy vesthelm
Unknown command: ak47
[ Gen.} pararog killed [PoT]-Pirate with m4a1.
] buy m4combo
Unknown command: ak47
What the hell does that mean? I didn't even type in "ak47," so I don't know where it got that from. That, and I have no clue why it won't let me buy anything. Can anyone help?
Can't buy anything!

Yeah, I must have messed something up. I deleted the changes I had made to the .cfg file and restarted the game, and I *think* that might have fixed it. Still have to check...

Did something else(or nothing) get bound to B(or your buy button)? type in bind B to find out

I had a similar problem. You might want to look through this post.
Hmm, that might fix it if it happens again.
I had made a backup of my .cfg file before I tried messing with it, so I just deleted the messed-up one and replaced it with the unmodified one, which seemed to fix the problem.
