I was just curious, how old is too old to post in a topic? Being fairly new to BoSS, maybe this could act as a reference for other new members as well to me. Thanks.

Pretty much, anything over a month is way too old.

And it's really not the fact that the topics are old that bothers most of us, it's the fact that the posts in the old topics are some no brained 1 liner along the lines of, "That's cool," or, "Yeah I like {Insert Topic}."

If you bring up an old topic, be sure to make it a damned good post, though that's hard as most people only bring up the old shitty threads that just needed to die anyway.

as long as the post has an idea/argument/answer to a question then you can post in any topic that is not stupid and needs to die

i wouldn't bump shit that is over a week old unless you had a good reason. Like zeke said if you are going to bump something make it worth it. I don't want to have to start thinking about some old ass topic just because you wanted to say "hell yeah thats right"

Generally if the topic is more than 2 weeks old, you shouldn't post in it just for the sake of posting. But if you feel you can add some substance to the topic, or the topic has become relevant again, go for it.
If it's several months old, probably skip it and make a new topic (link to the old one if necessary).
