when they say to be released early next year does that mean janurary 08 or a year from now? I want to get a new computer (uhhh :( vista) and i don't want to have to deal with the update.

I remember microsoft stating that the vista service pack 1 is mostly a patch pack of all the security updates rolled into one file. Not geared towards a performance update. I dont know where cnet gets their info from, but they must like to put in their own opinions on things.

lol Vista is AIDS, I guarantee Microsoft 'extends' the OEMs on Windows XP until 2009.

I don't like Vista much for gaming. But people who use it, like me. Should just partion their hard drive and duel boot.
