Perhaps you should have spent some money on a new monitor? 15" black and white CRT monitors are no longer the rage. If you bought a brand new machine to play at 1280x1024 that is definitely a facepalm......... Even more so if all you play is counter-strike, don't really need the latest and greatest to get a playable framerate and crank up the settings.

Thats way bigger than what I have.
Alright so I havnt played anything else with it yet, however that doesnt mean that I will not. Just got the b*tch (built it last weekend), dont want to blow it up yet. But I do agree with your statements. Maybe I should upgrade my Monitor from this.

get a new monitor or sell the GPU for something less powerful.
that card can do 1920x1200 easy at full details on 90% of games, no reason to throw it into something so crappy as a 1280x1024 setup that a card from 5 years ago can power :P

Ya shadow your right. When I get home Ill bump it up and see what I get. I also may look at the OC GUI that came with it. I have a 22" syncmaster so I definatly know I can get better res out of it. Ill let you guys know what I find out.

About as bad as half the customers I do work for. They have a 19-22" monitor and it's running at some half-assed resolution way below the native. Ask them why it looks so distorted and crappy looking and they reply with "Looks fine to me"
Change it over to monitor's native resolution and they say "oh, how did you do that? Looks better than before!"
Change the resolution to your monitor's native, your eyes and your computer will thank you later.
