I'm thinkin we should do 36 people, 3 people on a team 3v3
that way the brackets will be even and there will be a lot of teams.

i saw we plan it on like say.... a thursday night 2 weeks in the future or soemthing like that. at around 8pm. that way work and weekend plans dont conflict.

we talked about it on vent. i like deathblooms choice. have like 3 on 3 with fair teams. over a 4 or 5 day period. fair rules, no admin powers. maybe one admin spec. password server 3.

We need to decide on teams and rules first. Times can be flexible due to having around a dozen teams and doing it bracket style so dont worry about that for now. Ive been talking to a few people on Vent and it seems that 4vs4 may be the best bet. I guess I'm taking partial responsibility in organizing this sh*t so heres what we got so far:

Teams: 4vs4 or 5vs5
Teams: Choose team captains then have a draft
Style: Double elimination
Map(s): TBA ........ I say rotation Office, dust, aztec .... but only office would be good too
Rules: TBA but ....... I say no AWP and anything else goes BUT keeping to the BoSS style of gameplay should be encouraged (the whole team camping behind boxes would be gay as f*ck and I hope noone takes this sh*t too seriously as to care about winning enough to play like a b*tch)

Im taking SOME responsibility in organizing this sh*t, because its needed and was kinda my idea. If anyone else wants to help or take over feel free as everyones input is valuable. sh*t, if this works out, there is no reason that we can't do this every month or whatever. I, personally, like the idea of competition within the community.

4v4 sounds perfect, that means we will need 48 people signed up if we do 12 teams and 32 if we do 8 teams. The more teams the better!!

me being in depends upon dates..

i can play mon wed and thurs nights dedicated (my wife works those nights leaves at 5:45 pm so im good the rest of the evening other than that it would be near impossible for me to play out a tourny if thats a possibility im in if not i can't make any promises so it would be better to count me out if your dates don't corrispond to these days.. but id hate to be the one to say ill be there and not show up if you know what i mean so we will see how it goes with dates etc.. etc..

THANKS Blooms for helpin organizin!! TIMES DONT MATTER. It will be spread out over several days. Team Numbnuts vs team douschebags........you have 2 or 3 days to complete the match. You either goto the winners bracket or the losers then wait till the next team gets to the bracket, then have 2 or 3 days to complete the match again. Doing things all at once will not work out. Teams have to work together. You dont play the match in the time allowed, you forfeit end of story.

i want to be a team captain, i already have a team (sort of)

anyways, i think the tournament should start on a thrusday and end on a sunday or something like that...weould be the best sched i think.

time should be around 5 or 6 i think, as some people ahve school, others have jobs, and because of the time zones.

just some input, and i do want to be team captain! :)

I may or may not be around for this. Im leaving to the carnivale for 2-3 weeks some time around Feb. 6th. If its ready by then awesome but if its not then just count me out , I'll still do what I can to help organize before I leave though.

Thanks Massacre. Id like to get things organized and done by then but, realisticly, it probably won't happen. And Nachos ---> shutup. Im sure therell be plenty of team captain slots, so untill we post about that shut the f*ck up aka stfu.

How about 5v5?

Billy suggested it to me in vent and it sounded pretty good. It would work better that way because there would be less teams(easier to stay organized), plus we could have 8 teams and make the brackets even.

---- 5v5

---- 8 teams, which means a 40 man cutoff line.


we need to do like even for the brackets (4, 8, 16 teams) so I think the 5v5 8 teams works out the best
