I was here the month gaara joined, but I didn't register until later. I might have even been playing on a different name, RogueHunter or something. I didn't register till I moved out to U of M.
Can't wait for this map though

Agh, slow to act.
And I wanted to ask- what program is used to modify and make levels and player-skins and sh*t?
If you have HL2, CSS, etc...then you can download the Source SDK in Steam. In it launch Hammer, which lets you create maps. Remember, at the bottom of the SDK window is what the current game config is. Remember, if you're making a CSS map, make sure the drop-down menu says Counter-Strike: Source.
Hammer is pretty easy to pick up but the advanced stuff takes time and getting every little thing to work correctly is a b*tch.
BTW, more screenshots soon! Confirmed? One elevator, teleporters, hidden area, interactive kitchen, dead guy, van, easter eggs, and...yeah. I should have the layout and object placement done by the 10th, then I just have to varify inputs and outputs, add lighting, build cubemaps, create and edit a .nav file, importing custom content into the .bsp file, beta testing, screen taking, uploading, and releasing.

And why is there a disjointed quote in one of these posts?

I am still working on the map and I basically have almost every room finished. I just have to tweak object placement, add in some more inputs/outputs, light it, and add in the custom textures.
I'll post more devshots tomorrow.
The delay was caused by the latest update to the Source SDK. The update was pretty much buttsecks, except one little bug which caused the 3D view window not to work. So I didn't develop until I found a way to fix it.

Devshots possibly tomorrow, and you're gonna love 'em. Who doesn't love a map with cheesy elevator music and a fish tank?

Seriously, though, I call a beta tester spot. This is gonna kick ass.
...Can't we make the wall a little bigger? I deserve a spot for Longest at the Bottom of the Rank List.

She certainly has made herself well-known in the short time she's been here, lol, especially with that picture.
