No one knows what day Jesus was born on. So they made it coincide with pagan traditions to facilitate 'transistion' (read: shoving down in throat) of Christianity.
The Christmas tree is often explained as a Christianization of a pagan ritual surrounding the Winter Solstice, which included the use of evergreen boughs, and an adaptation of pagan tree worship. (That's right, you are ALL tree-huggers!)
Santa Claus was a post-Viking Scandinavian tradition for several hundred years before he was associated with Christianity. And he had a gray costume (Coca-Cola company single handedly changed the American tradition to give him a red and white outfit).
The celebration of Jesus' birthday was in early years denounced by many Christians because it made him come across as an Egyptian pharaoh or emperor.
In short; Christmas, if anything, is an attack on Christianity. Not these secular/other religion celebrations.
So, Merry Christmas!

Christmas is a pagan tradition ripped from Viking and Roman traditions.

lol, yea thats true. After i read the davinci code about a year ago i went on a mad research spree(for about two weeks) and yea christianity is a bunch of bull. But what makes me the most anti-roman catholic(the one i was born and raised with...btw, i am not anti the religion, just the church, i do believe in god)) is the little 'special' parking spot the preacher(or w/e he is called) thats covered and everything.....so thats what my money goes to. f*ck the church
/end rant...once again
