Why else would I be posting about it on a forum?
because you're lazy and don't know how to form your own opinion perhaps?

1) I'll have no f*cking idea what to do. Cats, you throw a bowl of food and water at them and they'll live all alone and be happy.
-Food and water, treats work real good for training.
-If you live in an urban area, go for a walk or two walks a day so he can take a dump. If not, just let him hang outside.
2) Where the f*ck am I gonna get a dog without having to worry about screenings and them coming to my house and all that bullsh*t.
-Humane Society lets you adopt, you may have to be 18 im not sure.
-Some pet stores have dog adoption programs. Get them young, they may be from abusive homes, and if you have an older dog (1 or 2 yrs old) from that kind of place, you will get bitten. :D
3) What kind of dog should I get?
-I would go for a Jack Russel or if you could go a little larger, get a border collie, they are awesome. Miniature Pinchers are awesome dogs, I have one.

lol he took what I said earlier in the thread more serious than I meant it so I responded :).
But seriously if you are truly going to get a dog you should know at least 1 thing about dogs before you make that decision. I mean people can't tell you what dog to get or where to get him, you need to find out that on your own.

You still haven't answered the question about whether or not you're going to school. If you are, do not get a dog. Just don't do it.

anyways IMO if you get a dog dont get one that sheds a lot...it will just make your parents even more mad that their is dog fur all over the house.
...btw i completely agree with the others that if you are going off to college then nintendogs might be the best choice ;)

Beagles are the best dog. I want one. But I can't necessarily get a beagle pup without some jackoff breeder wanting to come and inspect the house and rate me and determine if I'm a good person or not. I'm not gonna teach the dog how to kill babies, I'm gonna raise it as a best friend.

In case you are interested...
Tomorrow we will be getting the dog from the shelter. Her name is "Violet" she is a 1 year old German Shepard/Beagle mix. I'll post pictures when we have her. Today she is getting spayed, so I can't see her. :(

Yes the picture in the background is a family portrait from....7 years ago?
Best part about adopting from the shelter:
1) She was obviously house-trained by whoever owned her previously.
2) We saved her from being euthanized.
3) She's perfect.
I spent the entire day with her just lounging, she's still kinda tired from the excitement of the new home, and the fact that she got her uterus cut out on thursday.
