So what is it? The low numbers? Lack of combat options? Tiny creatures? 'Cause low and behold, most every rpg is like that at the start, which is where those screenshots come from. VERY early in the game.

Edit: Just so we're clear I'm not arguing that Gamecube went way too childish. 'Cause it did. I hate the direction that it went with a passion. Hell I'm still pissed that no TRUE Mario game was released for the system. Wii better get it right this time or I may call it quits with Nintendo. Just irks me to hear one of my favorite games of all time called kiddy when it's nothing of the sort. I've played through it countless times, once even within the last year, never gets old.

I was never personally a fan of the game but I didn't mean to say it was bad. Whether you like it or not the game was targeted towards the 10-15 year old age bracket, its just common sense. Its not a bad thing if you play and I dont care either way.

I hold out my hand in peace to call an end to this arguement

Well, I can't speak for Xiertic or Raccoon, but I'm ready for peace too, lol. We've all got different opinions, and we should all respect those opinions.

You're right, there's no point in argument. After all, we've all acknowledged that you're wrong, and we've moved on. (I kid, I kid).

Who knows, maybe you are right. If that's the case, then God damn it, I love bein' a kid. It's just never really struck me that way. And though I have a really hard time picturing it like that, at the end of the day I guess I do suppose I can see how some people might take it that way. So yeah, truce.

So now I'm gonna open a whole new can of worms here.

Nintendo hopes that Snakes appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii will encourage other publishers to allow their characters to join the Smash Bros. line-up, and is already actively negotiating for the rights to include at least one or two other non-Nintendo character. You can add one and one together when

Super Smash Bros. BrawlBoth Masahiro Sakurai and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto have stated that Segas Sonic the Hedgehog is the character that Smash Bros. fans have requested the most!

Source

So it would seem that Sonic is a likely character here. But the article states AT LEAST one or two more characters. This really peaks my interest. I've been chewing on this one for awhile now and I just can't decide who else they might throw in. Check this out, from the same page:

The games design team is made up of all-stars: Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu has composed the Super Smash Bros. Brawl main title theme

I know it's REALLY far fetched, but I wonder if maybe we might see the appearance of Cloud or Sephiroth? I know that might sound crazy, but so would Snake if it had been suggested before all this info came out.

My personal opinion is that Cloud, Sephiroth, or basically any Final Fantasy character post FF6 will never make it since they were on Playstation and were games developed during the time that Nintendo's partnership with Square was nullified. Plus, I really don't think they would ever fit. I thought Snake was far fetched enough, but he's someone I can actually see being in it, unlike any FF7-FFXII character. If Sonic's added, then cool, if Geno's added, then kickass, but I can't see any feasible way that those FF characters will make it in. Personally, and I know this is going to sound lame to a lot of you, but I loved absolutely love to see Toad in SSBB because he's been my favorite Mario character since I was about 3, starting with Super Mario Bros. 2. I've also thought that Lyndis from Fire Emblem would be kickass because she's one of the very few female swordsman. I didn't play the game all that much, but I still think she would be an awesome addition. Some of the older FF characters would also be cool to see, like Kain.

Yeah this isn't the exact topic you're talking about at this exact moment, but yeah my friend just got a Wii and apparently he's obsessed with killing chickens in Zelda. I haven't seen it but sounds pretty cool. I didn't originally like the idea but I think it's a better idea the more I hear about it.

I didn't know you could even kill the Cuccos. In this game if you slash one around 8 times, you will temporarily take control of it. I like how in the older Zelda games if you abused the Cuccos, a flock of them would come after you.

Yeah I agree.
I don't think, in the slightest, that Cloud/Seph will be in. But there is always that .001% chance, and a guy can daydream. :P

Zero Suite Samus has a sword, doesn't she? I could have sworn I saw here using one in the trailer. So there's your female swordsman. Though I gotta admit, two would be better than one. Chick duels with swords ftw.

And you guys are brilliant. Cuccos! They should totally be in Smash Brothers Brawl.

Nah, it's a pistol that turns into a laser whip. Plus ZSS isn't nearly as cool as Lyndis would be.

I played Wii at my friend's house, and sure it was fun for a little bit, but i will never spend money on it.. I mean, id never catch myself sitting at work thinking:
Oh, im so tired, but i wanna go home and play Wii by jumping and swinging my hands around..' - plus, it looks stupid if youre doing it alone.

I mean the only suitable place for it is at a party...

You don't really have to swing your hands around.

For the most part very slight gestures will do, which I do anyway when I'm playing sh*t like CSS.

I'm constantly leaning and ducking while I play that game. :perk:

Lazy Bastard!

When you work 6 days a week, youd be surprised how lazy you can get! Hey, i do... im lazy all the time.

Anyway, thats not the point. I just dont like it much. Yes, its breakthrough technology which in 5 years will be for games like oblivion with the same graphics and sh*t, but as of now i think its an extra toy when you already have a console and are left with extra money. Wii is for parties... again, i wouldnt play it on my own - at least not after the first week..
